Jeanie Burns

Jeanie Burns is a graphic designer who makes her home in Lake Worth, Florida. She first encountered street painting as a college student living in Italy. Years later, she found the art form had made its way to the U.S., and conveniently, into her own neighborhood at the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival near West Palm Beach. She has participated there every year since 1996, serving on the festival’s board of directors since 1998.
Jeanie studied Humanities and Art History at Florida State University but received her education in pastels working alongside many of the best artists in the country during chalk festivals. She credits those artists and the camaraderie that exists among them for shaping her development as an artist. Over the years, she has expanded her participation to events throughout the U.S., as well as in Canada and back to Italy, where the chalking spark was first ignited.
